Business and Operations Lead – Saskatoon, SK Full Time

Intertek is searching for a Business and Operations Lead to join our Food team in our Saskatoon, SK laboratory.  This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in food testing services!

The Business and Operations Lead is responsible for developing and implementing company’s operation and financial goals and strategies to drive growth, profitability and continuance for our laboratory operations.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain good relationships with existing / prospective customers to drive business growth.
• Drive sales activities to acquire new business and opportunities.
• Handle special enquiries and complaints from customers.
• Prepare forecast on revenue and expenses in line with budgets.
• Manage customers’ enquiries, quotations, jobs progress, invoicing, and payments.
• Ensure laboratory always adheres legal requirements and regulations from accreditation body.
• Provide adequate and timely information to the General Manager.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• University degree in an analytical science subject preferably microbiology, chemistry or food science.
• 1-3 years working experience with sound exposure to laboratory work environment. 
• Highly self-motivated, and proactive with excellent customer skills
• Strong language skill and high-level computer ability.
