Job Summary:

We are seeking a Red Seal Certified Electrician for maintenance & operations work within the resort. In this position you will perform monthly/annual maintenance on our ski lifts; complete electrical work orders for on-mountain equipment, facilities, and departments; and be responsible for troubleshooting faults and failures that may occur on any of the aforementioned lifts, equipment or facilities.  

Job Specifications:  

• Expected Pay Range: $38.64 – $42.62 / hour
• Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time; Temporary Help (6 months)
• Typical work week: 4x 10 hour days
• Possibility of working afternoon shifts (2pm until midnight)
• Skill Level: Advanced  

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair various industrial equipment and electrical systems without assistance
  • Ability to prioritize according to departmental goals
  • Document repairs, labor and materials accurately on work orders
• Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure proper working order Involvement in emergency decisions and procedures
• Willingness to adjust schedule to accommodate business needs

Job Requirements:

• Red Seal Occupational Standard (RSOS) certification as an Industrial or Construction Electrician
  • Preference given to those with their RSOS in Industrial
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid BC driver’s license
• Read, Write, speak English
• General computer knowledge, (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word)
• Past experience in Maintenance within the resort preferred
• Minimum 5 years of related field experience
• Experience with standard hand tools, test equipment and basic power tools
• Must have previous experience with specialty tools
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Have an analytical skillset
• Must possess the health & dexterity to ensure you can safely work in a physical and alert way.
