Job Summary:
The Experienced Dispatch Agent serves as the communication base and control center for all winter operations departments as well as Ski Patrol.

Job Responsibilities:
To continually strive to exceed our Guest’s expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.
To coordinate Patrol operations involving dispatching Patrollers to accidents, organizing medical evacuations and other emergency scenarios.
Delegate appropriate personnel and resources to situations such as: ski lift breakdowns, avalanches and emergency injury scenarios.
Maintain daily Patrol Dispatch for all daily operations including: Injuries, ski run trail checks, and avalanche control and accident investigation.
Ensures transport of Guests and or Staff off the slopes of Whistler or Blackcomb mountains.
Maintain Dispatch Office and supplies.
Assist Patrol with Sweep.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Working knowledge of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain layouts and operation a definite asset.
Familiar with emergency procedures in regards to such activities as avalanche control, medical emergencies and ski lift breakdowns.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure, carrying out multi-tasking duties and remaining calm and alert at all times.
Recognize priorities when under pressure and understand the sense of urgency required for different emergency situations.
Working knowledge of computer (Microsoft Word/Excel).
Excellent interpersonal skills and team play.
